One step forward

Last Saturday, a group of parents got together to discuss how to improve things (not that anything in particular is doing very poorly!) in the School. This included this year and last year's parents' representatives in addition to something like eight others. The Principal and other members of the Management were also there.

Of course its too early to give any specifics, but basically there was considerable discussion on various matters that pertain to the well being of our children. And much discussion on what we, as parents, can do. And on teachers and teaching. And on Sports.

There is a lot that can be done, of course. And here is a place to air your opinions. Please write in.

Thank god

At least something seems to have begun.

The management sitting with the parents and the principal in the same room----I had thought that this day would never arrive.

i am sure that something good will come out of it.

Kindly be specific.

where are the problems?

i think MIS is not using computers/IT and other classroom animations and presentations etc. for joyful learning experiences.

Dear Sir

As a parents representative, after due consultation with other parents, the following is the submission for timely intervention by the board

1. The interaction between the parent’s teachers and the students needs to be relooked in the following areas

a. Studies

b. Extra curricular activities

c. Sports

d. Attitudes in life keeping our past inheritance of value based education in mind.

2.) Reformatting of inter house spirit for nurturing leadership in both students and teachers

3) A systematic change for reestablishing value based education as the present generation of M.I.S students need intervention both from teachers and parents.

4) A system in Place to reorient and reallocate teacher responsibility based on skills aptitude and inclination. This should be done by putting in place a systematic mechanism for building a team with one voice that thinks only for the good of our children.

Best regards

Vivek Bhushan
